Things I've learned this week, Part 1:

- how anti-depressants work,
- why eating lots of salt leads to high blood pressure,
- that each week's lunches and outfits need to be organized the weekend prior,
- that cancer can literally be 'smelled', at least in a cadaver,
- why Liz felt pain in her shoulder when her gallbladder was the real problem,
- that my 'spill-proof' mug really isn't,
- why 'blood doping' doesn't really help athletic performance that much,
- why rubbing your stubbed toe makes it hurt less,
- that an hour of biking makes you sweat no matter how slowly you go, and
- that I should have appreciated full nights of sleep more while I had the chance.
